Darren is responsible for Serent's finance, accounting, investor relations, compliance, legal and administrative activities. Darren also supports Serent's investment process and works with portfolio company management teams
Prior to Serent, Darren was a Managing Director at global private equity firm TPG, and Co-head of TPG’s business unit finance group, where he was responsible for finance, accounting and operations across TPG’s various private equity investing platforms. Previously, Darren also served as Global Treasury Manager at TPG, focused on the firm’s global banking relationships, currency execution and risk management, and managing new and existing loan facilities. Before joining TPG in 2014, Darren worked at HBK Capital where he oversaw the operations and accounting for the hedge fund’s structured debt and equity investments, direct lending business, and statistical arbitrage portfolio.
Darren has a Master's in Accounting from TCU, earning the Neeley Scholar award. He also has BBAs in Finance and Accounting from TCU in Fort Worth, where he graduated magna cum laude. Darren is a Certified Public Accountant.
