Jake Zimmer

Vice President

Jake focuses on deal origination and qualification, as well as developing investment themes and intermediary relationships.

Prior to joining Serent, Jake worked at H.I.G. Growth Partners, the growth affiliate of private equity firm H.I.G. Capital. At H.I.G., he was responsible for identifying, sourcing, and building relationships with companies in the business services, consumer retail, technology, and healthcare industries. Jake has also held positions at Knightsbridge Advisers, a venture capital fund of funds in Boston, and The BlackOak Group, a wealth management firm located in Buffalo, NY. Jake has a B.A. in Finance from Bentley University, where he graduated magna cum laude.

Jake is a devoted Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan, which means he’s no stranger to heartbreak, but it’s built character. He loves hitting the slopes out west, cooking or finding great restaurants, traveling to new places, playing hockey, and hanging out with his Newfoundland, Elvis.
