Christian Smith

Vice President

As Vice President, Christian is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities, managing business due diligence processes, and supporting Serent’s portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Serent, Christian was a Senior Associate at Peterson Partners, a growth equity fund based in Salt Lake City. In this role, he worked on multiple investments spanning industries such as software, healthcare, industrial, and business services. He began his career as an investment banker at Livingstone Partners, advising clients across various industries. Christian received an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Finance from Miami University, graduating summa cum laude.

Christian used to caddie in high school — and even landed the Caddyshack scholarship, proof that hard work (and a good short game) pay off. He lives for powder days at Alta, golf matches that get a little too competitive, waist-high surf, and whatever music hits just right.
