Alex Nichamin

Vice President

Alex leads Serent’s debt capital markets efforts, which includes structuring, arranging, and executing financing transactions for Serent and its portfolio companies. He also leads the firm’s M&A Center of Excellence, a cross-functional effort to support M&A across the portfolio.

Alex spent several years on the investment team prior to taking on the cap markets and portfolio M&A role, where he was responsible for evaluating investment opportunities, managing business due diligence processes, and supporting Serent’s portfolio companies. He focused specifically on companies in the healthcare IT and field services software sectors. Prior to joining Serent, Alex was a management consultant with Bain & Company in Chicago. In this role, he worked with clients from leading private equity funds to evaluate investment opportunities and develop portfolio strategies, as well as advised businesses across a variety of industries on growth strategy and operational improvements. Alex holds an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford and a B.A. in economics from Swarthmore.
