Lance is a Partner at Serent Capital. Since joining Serent in 2008, Lance has focused on the financial services market, where he currently leads the Firm’s activities in hospitality, education tech, fintech, payments, non-profit, mortgage tech, and specialty finance.
Since joining Serent in 2008, Lance has focused on the financial services market, where he currently leads the Firm’s activities in hospitality, education tech, fintech, payments, non-profit, mortgage tech, and specialty finance. While at Serent, Lance has worked closely with portfolio company executive teams to identify and execute on value creation initiatives that have dramatically improved topline performance and accelerated growth. These initiatives include new market entry, new product development, sales force design and improvements, and M&A. Lance’s investments include growth equity and buyouts in the payments, software, BPO, and specialty finance markets. Lance has an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. He also has a B.A. in History from Cornell University, an M.A. from the City College of New York in Secondary Education, where he graduated magna cum laude.
Lance is usually chasing after his four kids, loves surfing and cycling, and can often be found at Ocean Beach in the fall.
